MEET OUR STAFF

Kyle Dickinson
Executive Director
Kyle Dickinson is the beloved son of the One Who Holds All Things Together. He is Joy’s husband and Mia and Nathan’s dad. He has a Bachelor’s degree in International and Intercultural Communications from Sacramento State University and an MBA from George Fox University. He has also studied at Fuller Theological Seminary.
Kyle has been a campus pastor, a small groups pastor, a development director, and a fundraising consultant. He loves to encourage, organize, and inspire people to get involved in Kingdom causes and to be generous with their time, talent, and treasure.
His favorite authors include Tim Keller, Henri Nouwen, KJ Ramsey, Brene Brown, Patrick Lencioni, Kate Bowler, Jemar Tisby, Soong-Chan Rah, and Justin McRoberts. Kyle is a die-hard San Francisco Giants and Portland Trail Blazers fan. He loves good coffee, the Oregon coast, and fantasy football.

Laurie Case
Director of Business Operations
Laurie was born and raised in Salem and is excited to be part of a team working to bring peace to her city. She graduated from McNary High School, and Keizer is still her neighborhood. She is the wife of John and mom to Ollie, Eli, Aliyah, and Sam. She is the daughter of Craig and Jane and sister to Jamie, and she considers herself deeply grateful for the gift of her family.
Laurie loves reading and being part of book clubs, walking her dog Clovis, sitting in the sun, camping and spending time outdoors, eating nachos, singing at church, being still, and sharing unhurried time with her family and the friends who have become family.

Jennifer Palanuk
Keizer Neighborhood Connector, NPT Coordinator
Jennifer is the coordinator of SLF’s Neighborhood Partnership Team (NPT) collaborative, which includes NPTs in east (CaPES), west (Edgewater Partnership), north (North Neighborhoods), south (South Salem Connect) and Keizer (Keizer United). Her background is in Christian Education (youth) and she has served for years in her local church.
Jennifer also serves as Keizer Neighborhood Connector, and she and her family are longtime Keizer residents. Her two sons were members of the Salem Academy academic and sports communities up through their graduations, and have launched into college, career and adulthood.

Isaiah Burrell
South Salem Neighborhood Connector
Isaiah is SLF’s South Salem Neighborhood Connector. He recently worked with Safe Families for Children, another ministry that works with churches and serves vulnerable families.
One of his passions is health and fitness training. Isaiah is a proud McKay Royal Scot (2010) and Corban Warrior (Psychology, 2023). Isaiah, Holly and their four children live in the Morningside Neighborhood

Robert Garcia
West Salem Neighborhood Connector
Robert shares that one of the best decisions in his life was marrying his wonderful wife, Nicole. Together they have five amazing children: Isabel, Araya Hope, Simeon, Samuel, and Marcelino. He and Nicole moved to Salem in 1997 to live close to her family and settled in West Salem in 2003. Robert began working with Salem Leadership Foundation in August 2018 as a West Salem Neighborhood Connector.
He is involved in several projects and partnerships, including Edgewater Partnership, West Salem CaN Centers, Grass Roots After School Soccer Program (GRASSP), and Street Psalm. He holds a Bachelor of Ministry (B.Min.) from Crown College (Reach Training Institute).

Rian Rasubala
McKay Neighborhood Connector
Rian was born and raised in Salem, Oregon, and graduated from McKay High School in 2012 before attending the University of Oregon, where he studied Nonprofit Administration and Public Relations. Shortly after moving back to Salem, he met his best friend, Hannah, and they were married in June 2019. They purchased a home in the Northgate Neighborhood, just four blocks from where he grew up, and attend New Harvest Church.
Rian feels honored to serve on the team at Salem Leadership Foundation. During his senior year of high school, he was appointed to the board through the Inspire Foundation’s Leadership Youth program and later interned with SLF during a summer in college. Today, he serves as the McKay Area Neighborhood Connector, partnering with others to bring Shalom to the McKay Community. He is involved with Community and Partners of East Salem (CaPES), a Community Partnership Team (CPT), the McKay Community Podcast, McKay Commons, and the Hope Alive East Salem Task Group.
